What to do! feeling lazy and a lil bummed out

I know it takes time for a website/shop to get up and running but I haven't gotten a sale in a few weeks and it has me totally bummed out, I don't even want to make stuff.
I think it's that I spend way to much time one the computer but I can't help myself I want my shop to do well and for that to happen I know that I have to be promoting my stuff. Well enough of the rant and complains.

I was so happy with the last few things I've made so I'm trying to stay positive and get rid of this block that has come over me.
Here are a few of my latest resin creations.

My "craft room"

So I'm out of the kitchen and in the basement. I'm so glad I have space to put all my junk. It's not super fancy but it's my space to be creative.

Custom orders

 I get a little nervous with custom order because I'm trying to make what others have in there mind and hope that I get it the way they pictured it or better. Don't get me wrong I love making them and so far everyone has loved what I have made for them. This is my last order keep in mind it's not finished yet.

They are so much fun to make especially when the person has a very specific idea in mind or it has a lot of meaning to the like this one above did. I also made her a matching key chain as a thank you gift.

This was a ring for a returning customer. I got all into it and made her a matching box as a gift. I want to keep my customers happy and coming back.

This one was a order for a pair of sisters. these are only some of the things I have made if you would like to see more look for 2Littlekisses on Facebook.

Custom orders can be a little challenging a times but I'm always up for it.

I Love giving my daughters birthday parties

My oldest daughter is to big for birthday parties, she doesn't want a party this year. I know it's silly but I feel kind of sad, I have all ways done a party for her birthday one year she had 2 parties one in school and one at home. She truing 13 and  she's a big girl/teenager now.

It wasn't anything big only a few of her friends.

So now I only have Mya's parties to do and I think I may go a little crazy this year. Not sure if I will do tangled ( Rapunzel ) or ni how ki lan. Either way i have lots of ideas......and I don't know if that a good or bad thing lol.

I was so upset because it was raining on and off that day and we had to move everything into the garage and oder pizza because we couldn't grill. But she still had fun and that's what counts at the end.

this was my favorite of Mya's parties so far.

I still have till September for her birthday but I'm exited and can't wait!!!

My "work" space

Yes... I do my resin making in my kitchen. My husband gets mad because I spill resin on the granite counter top. In my defense it comes off with some alcohol and I don't have any other place to do it.

I need to find a better place because it's a pain in the butt to have to take all that stuff out every time I have to do something with my resin. Sometimes by the time I get to actually making something I don't even want to do it anymore not only that it's very distracting in the kitchen.

So that's my storage/laundry closet, thats not all my stuff the rest is on the counter and the table. I like to stay organized, it's easier to find things that way and I don't like to see a mess in my house. So I think I will be fixing the back room in the basement for my crafts and resin because as you can see this is kind of crazy and not a fun to go back and forth looking for stuff.

So that's my resin/art stuff around the house.

Alternative to dome/round resin mold

I bought this paint tray (I don't know if thats the proper name for it) at Michaels for around a dollar.

So I gave it a try with some resin happy faces I wanted to make and  it works!! The only down side is you can't see small air bubbles, so it has to be poured slowly and only a little at a time so the bubbles come up or you can blow them out.

Also it's not so easy to pop out so put it in the freezer for a minute or so and they will come right out! Ice cube trays work too.

So if you don't want to buy a mold this will do the trick

Thank you cards

I wanted to send  thank you notes to my costumers with their orders, I think it's a nice touch and very personal after all I am making handmade jewelry.
I purchased the thank you cards from Michaels, I love the damask pattern, it matches the banner on my Etsy shop. The pack has 40 cards, 40 envelops and 40 little thank you oval like parts that you can put if you like.

I had a stamp made with my logo and I purchased black, purple and pink ink to match the logo colors. The good thing about the stamp is that I can use it for anything I have put it on bags, boxes and have even made tags with it too.

It's a little bit of work because I have to go slowly and be careful with the colors on the stamp but I think it's worth it.

The card opens up and inside I hand write my thank you note.

Business cards

I don't know why but every time I would start looking for business cards I would get frustrated with the price or the designs I was finding. Finally I got around to it! and found 123Print they let you upload your own logo and customize it to your liking.

So for $8.95 I got 100 beautiful cards. I'm  very happy with the way the came out and the quality. Shipping was free and I got to make my own card design, being the picky person that I am that was perfect for me.

Hello this is to introduce myself

I will start of by saying that I don't want this blog to be only about my shop, I also want to share about my family, other hobbies and whatever is going on.

So a little about me, my name is Issa and I live in Connecticut with my two daughters and husband. Ambar is the oldest and Mya is the baby and I can't forget my husband Gabe. I'm currently working on finishing my business degree that has taken me forever to finish but I'm almost done. Okay so this may seem random but I LOVE Hello Kitty =^.^=   a lot I even have a tattoo of her. My favorite color is black and most of the time thats the only color I wear.

I will try my hardest to post on a weekly bases unless I'm completely swamped with resin making. I hope everyone enjoys my post and have a wonderful day.
